Who we are

House of MVMT Ltd runs the House of MVMT studio in Reading, Berkshire. We're the controller of your personal data, which means we decide how it's used and we're responsible for looking after it.

What we collect

Your details: name, email, mobile, date of birth, emergency contact and your training goals.

Your health answers: the health questions you fill in when you join, and anything you tell us about injuries or conditions.

Your photo, if you choose to add one.

Your bookings: what you've booked, cancelled and attended, and your plan and credits.

Coach notes: short notes your coach writes to keep your training safe and on track.

Payments: when card payments are switched on, Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your full card number.

If you're 16 or 17: your parent or guardian's name, email and mobile.

Website waitlist: if you join it, your first name, email and whether you're interested in Pilates, S&C or both.

Why we use it

To run your membership and bookings, send booking emails and reminders, and take payment. The legal basis is our contract with you.

To keep you safe in sessions. Health information is special category data, so we only use it with your explicit consent, which you give when you fill in the health questions. You can withdraw it at any time, but we may not be able to coach you safely without it.

To celebrate your birthday in the app, if you leave that switched on. You can turn it off under Me.

To send studio news, only if you've ticked the box. You can untick it any time.

To email you about opening and booking, if you join the website waitlist. The legal basis is your consent. Reply to any email or contact hello@houseofmvmt.co.uk to be taken off.

To keep records we're legally required to keep, like payment and VAT records.

Who can see it

Your coaches (Jade and Chantelle, and any coach we add) can see your details, health answers, photo, bookings and coach notes. Other members can't see anything about you, apart from how many spots are left in a class.

We use trusted companies to run the app: Supabase (database and logins, hosted in London), Vercel (app hosting), Resend (emails, hosted in Ireland), Stripe (payments) and, if you use it, Google (sign in). They only use your data to provide their service to us. Where any of them process data outside the UK, they use approved legal safeguards.

We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while you're a member. You can delete it yourself at any time from the Me tab, which removes your details, health answers, photo, bookings and notes straight away (apart from the waiver record below).

Waitlist details are deleted once we've opened and invited you to sign up, or sooner if you ask.

If you delete your account, we keep a record of your signed waiver and health answers for 7 years (or until your 22nd birthday if that's later), in case of an insurance or legal claim. Only Jade and Chantelle can access it, and it's deleted automatically after that.

Payment records are kept by Stripe and by us for 6 years because the law requires it.

Your rights

You can see your data (download it from the Me tab), correct it (edit your details under Me), delete it (from the Me tab), or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. Email hello@houseofmvmt.co.uk for anything else.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
